Terms and Conditions
MyTelescope.com provides a service to its users subject to the following terms and conditions:
Weather Conditions and Unscheduled Downtime
Inappropriate weather conditions at a telescope site or unscheduled downtime will result in closing of observatories for the time interval that is affected. There is no observing time charge for these periods.
Image Quality
Image quality will vary from session to session dependent upon conditions in the environment that we do not control such as air turbulence, transparency, humidity, moon phase etc.
Data
Users own the image data that they collect during their paid observing sessions and are responsible for saving their image data to their own computer storage system at the time the data is collected. MyTelescope.com is not responsible for the permanent storage of users' data. However to allow our users to review their past sessions, MyTelescope.com will hold image data on our servers for a period of time after it has been collected. This is currently a free service and it has not been determined how long data will be kept on our servers. MyTelescope.com maintains a right to data collected on our system in order to gauge the performance of our equipment and to improve upon the service that we provide to our users.
Equipment Performance
We strive to maintain our equipment in the best possible operating condition that we can. We attempt to achieve consistency in performance between observatories with similar equipment. However because of factors such as manufacturing tolerances, there can be variations in equipment performance from one observatory to another.
Cancellation Fee
When a user cancels a booking there may be cancellation fees charged
depending on when the booking is canceled.
In addition, if a user does not show up for a booking with in a
certain period of time, the booking will be canceled and a cancellation
fee charged.

Family Site
MyTelescope.com is a family site and therefore user contributed content
is moderated.
Inappropriate Usage
Inappropriate usage of the MyTelescope.com services or system can result in account closure.
Examples of inappropriate usage include (but are not limited to)
- Reserving time on MyTelescope.com equipment and reselling for a profit or other potential gain.
- Un-intended uses which interfere with other user's ability to use the system.
Liability
Our liability in any circumstances pertaining to the use of service and equipment provided by MyTelescope.com is limited to refunding of related viewing credits or refunding the cash amount involved in the purchase of said credits.
Updates
These Terms and Conditions may be updated by MyTelescope.com from time to time.
